#TheBigHike

In my spare time — or when I need to breathe deeper and return to myself — I go walking. Long hikes, winding trails, quiet moments in nature. There’s something about the rhythm of your steps against the earth that resets everything. It’s where I think, release, and reconnect with who I am beneath the noise.
On July 12th, I had the opportunity to take one of those soul-resetting walks through a breathtaking part of the country, surrounded by family, friends, and purpose. Together, we took part in Cancer Research UK’s Big Hike, walking in solidarity to raise funds for life-saving cancer research.
We made a two-hour deposit into our health and well-being account—not just by moving our bodies, but by moving together toward something greater. Each step was a reminder of how healing nature can be, how powerful community is, and how acts of support—even small ones—create lasting ripples.
The Big Hike was more than a fundraiser.
It was a call back to presence.
To gratitude.
To connection.
Until the next trail,
—Jean
Why I Write in Quiet Spaces:
I’ve always believed that silence has its own rhythm. This journal is where I return to it—sometimes with a memory, sometimes with a question I haven’t answered yet, sometimes to draw inspiration from you, the readers.
